WHAT WE OFFER
At Global Caregiving Ministries, our focus is on helping organizations and churches fulfill their mission of impacting the world for good. We specialize in forming relationships with our clients, understanding their unique needs, and providing professional coaching and consulting to help them achieve their goals and fulfill their God-given potential.
CONNECTING
First and foremost, Global Caregiving Ministries (GCM) exists to help people become connected to God. Although we approach our work from a faith-based, biblical worldview but we do not limit our services to professing Christians or to those who agree with us. In addition, it is our aim to be connected to our clients in order to understand their unique aspirations, goals, and needs. We take pleasure in serving people and assisting each one in their journey.
COACHING
Life has its challenges and GCM offers coaching for individuals, relationships, marriages, and parenting. We’re also here to help the leaders of organizations and churches excel in their mission. As coaches, we pledge ourselves to listen to our clients to help them sort through their current reality and discern the best steps to reach their goals. We provide a safe environment to discuss important matters and we always respect the privacy and dignity of those we interact with.
CONSULTING
GCM is especially committed to the health and wellbeing of organizations such as local churches, Christian ministries, service groups, and businesses. We bring to the table years of experience and some great assessment tools to help organizations discover their true potential and pursue the wisest path. ABOUT US
Bob and Linda Buchan are the ones who shape the direction and mission of our non-profit organization.
BOB BUCHAN
Bob Buchan is an author, educator, and proven leader with many years of experience helping individuals and organizations. He received a B.A. from Otterbein University, and was actively involved in CRU and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After college he enrolled in a unique program that combined graduate education in counseling psychology from both Georgia State University (M.Ed.) and The Psychological Studies Institute. The goal was to train counselors to work from a biblical worldview. Later on, Bob completed another graduate degree in theology from International Seminary (M.Th.).
Bob served as a pastor for many years taking the lead to start 4 churches during his career, with the largest growing to over 900 weekly participants and a peak weekend attendance of over 2000. In later years, Bob served as the Marriage and Family pastor of a congregation with thousands of attenders, called Heritage Christian Church.
Bob’s mission experiences include ministry in Liberia, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Senegal, Kenya and the Ukraine. Bob has provided counsel to many pastors and Christian leaders over the years.
Bob has been married to his wife, Linda since 1979, and they’ve been blessed with five children. Bob is also the author of the book, First Love that Lasts, published by Destiny Image, and he created a helpful resource for individuals and groups called “Following Jesus When You’re Finding Work.”
LINDA BUCHAN
Linda Buchan has served alongside of her husband, Bob, in pastoral ministry for many years. She has extensive experience in working with individuals, couples and groups. Linda received a B.S. degree in Nutrition Education through Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a certified Life Coach, having completed her education through the Institute of Life Coach Training.
Linda worked as a Life Coach at Beacon Center for Counseling and received training at Ashland Theological Seminary to lead “Healing Care Groups,” that help people overcome the negative effects of past hurts. She also went through fifty hours of training to become a Stephen Minister.
For many years, Linda worked as the Volunteer Coordinator of Heritage Christian Church. She also served on leadership teams that have ministered in Turkey and the U.K. Linda is the mother of five children and when they were young, she home schooled them through the fourth grade, helping them receive a quality education during their formative years.

IS THERE AN INITIAL CONSULTATION AVAILABLE WITHOUT COST?
Yes. Bob and Linda will be glad to talk to you to see if working with them is a good fit. You will not be charged for the initial consultation and there will be no pressure to continue meeting.
CAN APPOINTMENTS BE MADE WITH BOB AND LINDA SEPARATELY?
All you have to do is contact them by phone or email and they will be glad to discuss that possibility.
ARE BOB AND LINDA AVAILABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THOSE WHO DON’T SHARE THEIR BELIEF IN GOD OR IN BIBLICAL TRUTH?
Of course. They welcome the opportunity to spend time with people who are seeking assistance and there will be no pressure to embrace their beliefs.
WHY DOES GCM EMPHASIZE COACHING SERVICES RATHER THAN COUNSELING?
Over the years, the Buchan’s have provided a lot of counseling from a pastoral perspective but have never become licensed as professional counselors. They prefer to emphasize the word “coaching” because they don’t want people to confuse them with counselors who are recognized by the state.
WHEN COACHING IS PROVIDED, DOES GCM TAKE INSURANCE PAYMENTS?
Bob and Linda are not able to receive insurance payments for their services. Clients have to pay by cash, checks, credit cards, Venmo, or PayPal.

FAITH BASED COUNSELING
If you have questions or confusion about spiritual matters, Bob is available to meet with you.
RELATIONSHIP COACHING
Linda and Bob have expertise in helping individuals wade through the stress and confusion of family, friend, work, and neighbor relationships. They have helped many people learn the skills of connecting, communicating, and resolving relational conflicts.
MARRIAGE COACHING
Linda and Bob have helped many couples improve their marriages through specialized coaching, classes, seminars, and groups. They have years of experience using the world-famous Prepare-Enrich Inventory, which is an assessment tool that has helped over 3 million couples. Prepare-Enrich pinpoints the strengths of a relationships and any growth areas will also be noted. If you’re married, why not invest in your relationship and do a “couple checkup” today?
TRAINING MARRIAGE MENTORS
Bob is a professional trainer teaching people how to use the Prepare-Enrich Inventory in coaching couples either vocationally or as a ministry. PARENTING COACHING
Linda and Bob are available to meet with people who want to improve their parenting skills. There is no such thing as a perfect parent, but we should never make excuses for our failure to address shortcomings. Moms and Dads often get so busy with life and kids that they fail to connect with each other. The strain on their marriage is often compounded when they fail to have a common parenting strategy and their home environment becomes chaotic. Those things need to be addressed. CHURCH CONSULTING
There are over 300,000 churches in America and many of them are struggling to maintain a clear vision and fulfill their stated mission. There is a huge need for renewal in churches today and Bob Buchan is well prepared to help church leaders assess their current situation and come up with goals and a strategic plan. Churches play such a vital role in providing light to the dark places of this world which makes revitalization so important. ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTING
Bob is also available to assist with leadership development, team building, decision-making, processing through grief/loss, improving relationships, etc.
